International Theatre Workshop – Cross-Cultural Learning & Global Collaboration
The Workshop Abroad, conducted in collaboration with international theatre practitioners and institutions, offered a unique opportunity for People’s Theatre Association (PTA) to engage in global artistic exchange. This immersive program brought together directors, facilitators, and performers from various countries to share knowledge, explore new methods, and develop collaborative performances rooted in local and global themes.
Participants were trained in advanced performance techniques, intercultural storytelling, physical theatre, movement, vocal work, and community engagement strategies. The workshop also included roundtable discussions, rehearsals, and studio presentations that fostered professional growth and mutual understanding among participants.
For PTO, this international workshop served as a bridge between local practices and global innovations — allowing its members to bring back refined skills, fresh inspiration, and meaningful connections to strengthen theatre for social change in Bangladesh.
