Workshop for Directors & Organizers – Strengthening Leadership in Theatre Practice
The Workshop for Directors & Organizers, hosted by People’s Theatre Association (PTA), is designed to build capacity among theatre leaders, educators, and cultural managers who are responsible for guiding and shaping community-based and youth-driven performances.
This intensive training covered essential aspects of artistic direction, production management, rehearsal planning, team coordination, and audience engagement. Participants explored methods of inclusive storytelling, conflict resolution within teams, resource optimization, and developing age-appropriate, socially-relevant theatre content.
Through case studies, simulations, and collaborative exercises, the workshop helped participants develop their leadership voice and learn how to manage both the creative and logistical sides of theatre-making effectively.
