Theatre for Unprivileged Children – Giving Voice to the Voiceless
Theatre for Unprivileged Children is a heartfelt initiative by People’s Theatre Association (PTA) that aims to uplift children from marginalized communities through the performing arts. Many of these children grow up without access to quality education, creative spaces, or platforms to express their thoughts and dreams. This program offers them that opportunity — using theatre as a tool for empowerment, healing, and development.
Through workshops, games, storytelling, and stage performances, children are guided to explore their emotions, develop communication skills, and build self-confidence. The program fosters teamwork, empathy, and imagination, helping participants gain not only performance abilities but also life skills.
By encouraging these children to step onto the stage, PTA helps them step forward in life — breaking the barriers of poverty, silence, and social exclusion. The initiative not only highlights their hidden talents but also gives them the courage to dream, speak, and be seen.
This project is a powerful reminder that every child — regardless of their background — deserves access to culture, creativity, and the right to express themselves.
