Children’s Performance for Children – Inspiring Young Minds Through Peer Expression

Children’s Performance for Children” is a unique and impactful initiative by People’s Theatre Association (PTA) that focuses on empowering children not only as performers but also as active audiences. In this model, children create, rehearse, and perform plays that are designed to entertain, educate, and inspire other children.

This peer-to-peer approach makes the performances more relatable, engaging, and emotionally resonant. Young audiences are more likely to connect with stories and characters portrayed by their contemporaries—leading to deeper reflection and understanding of themes such as friendship, fairness, environment, inclusion, and empathy.

By encouraging children to perform for children, PTA fosters a supportive environment where creativity, imagination, and confidence grow together. It also cultivates a culture of listening and learning from one another, helping children see themselves not just as spectators, but as storytellers and changemakers.

Through this initiative, PTA continues its mission to use theatre as a tool for education, empowerment, and transformation—led by children, for children.
