Strengthening Global Solidarity: People’s Theatre Association at International Festival in Cuba
As part of its commitment to global cultural exchange and youth empowerment, the People’s Theatre Association (PTA) participated in a prestigious international theatre festival held in Cuba. This event brought together theatre groups from across the world, united by a shared belief in the power of storytelling and performance as tools for social change.
PTO’s performance in Cuba highlighted themes of justice, identity, resilience, and hope — reflecting the lived realities and dreams of Bangladeshi youth. The group’s strong theatrical presence, rooted in local culture yet universally resonant, captured the hearts of international audiences and fellow performers.
Beyond the stage, the festival offered opportunities for dialogue, workshops, and collaboration — allowing PTO’s participants to engage in meaningful cultural exchange with artists from Latin America and beyond. Their presence in Cuba further elevated Bangladesh’s reputation in the global youth theatre movement.
Through this powerful participation, People’s Theatre Association once again proved that theatre can transcend borders, spark conversations, and inspire action across the world.
