National Youth Theatre Festival 2016
The 2016 National Youth Theatre Festival was a notable event organized by People’s Theatre Association (PTA), held at the National Theatre Hall auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka. Youth theatre groups from various regions of the country participated in this festival to showcase their creativity and talent.
The festival was inaugurated by the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Asaduzzaman Noor. A colorful procession involving children took place during the opening ceremony. A total of 65 theatre groups participated in the festival, and on the first day alone, 9 plays were staged.
The festival played an important role in increasing interest and creativity in theatre among the youth community. It also helped build confidence, social awareness, and cultural consciousness among the youth.
Through this festival, People’s Theatre Association supported the development of young talents and played a significant role in the promotion of youth theatre in Bangladesh.
