13th National Children, Adolescent and Youth Theatre Festival 2016
In 2016, the 13th National Children, Adolescent, and Youth Theatre Festival, successfully organized by People’s Theatre Association in collaboration with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, was a milestone in the development and promotion of theatre among children and youth. The festival, held at the National Theatre Hall auditorium in Dhaka, saw participation from 65 theatre groups from different regions of the country.
The festival was inaugurated by the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Asaduzzaman Noor, and a colorful procession involving children was held. A total of 9 plays were staged, which increased interest and creativity in theatre among children, adolescents, and youth.
This event by People’s Theatre Association significantly contributed to boosting the confidence of young talents, raising social awareness, and developing cultural consciousness. The festival played an important role in the expansion and advancement of children’s and youth theatre in Bangladesh’s cultural landscape
